Director's Message
Wayman Learning Center is founded on the basic belief that all children, including those with special needs, should have the opportunity to reach their greatest potential by learning the skills needed to eventually live as independent, productive adults who have positive relationships with family and peers in the home and outside the home.
We also believe that communication is an essential skill and should be the primary emphasis of any educational/behavioral program for children with skill deficits in this area.
Wayman Learning Center is dedicated to helping children with special needs to reach their greatest potential by identifying skill competencies and skill deficits through assessment, and then developing an individualized plan for teaching specific objectives. Experienced, competent instructors then implement teaching/behavioral procedures derived from current research in the field of Behavior Analysis, under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), to increase skill competencies of the child. Data is regularly collected and analyzed in order to determine whether or not teaching/behavioral procedures have been effective.
